I’ve just sent this as an email to the team (I’ve removed some stuff).

I think we need to look at how we demonstrate progress. I’ve been distracted by various things this week and I don’t know where we are with this project.

I look at work logs in Jira (not a great measure I agree) and see that nobody logged any work for yesterday.

I look at hipchat for a conversation of what everyone’s doing and I see only one person posting updates.

I look at the kanban board and see the same tasks in “in progress” for days at a time.

I don’t know what to look for in bitbucket or on the preview environment.

Can we talk about this on Monday? Or can you start a conversation about it on hipchat?

It’s not about looking over people’s shoulders (though I want to do that), rather it’s about demonstrating to people that we’re delivering value, giving confidence that we’ll deliver on schedule, getting early feedback from people on the work we do.

Am I asking for too much?
